"Sammie Thompson is one of those people who was fortunate to have discovered her gifts early, explored them thoroughly, and has given a lot to this world as a result. She is a born musician. When I first met her 15+ years ago, she was playing the piano professionally and singing. She has a wonderful voice and many of the compositions were her own - wonderful, accessible, melodic music. We lost track of each other and in the interim, she became an international performer and recording artist--but she recently reappeared with some wonderful surprises.

Sammie has taken up and mastered the harp and is now creating music which she aptly calls "musical massage." She has focused on developing the healing qualities in her music with magnificent results. In addition to public performances, she frequently performs in hospitals and for hospices, helping to heal. Hospice patients and associates who have been comforted and nurtured by her music named her the Music Lady. She has a really impressive resume; check out the website, musiclady.net.

Sammie Thompson has produced two wonderful CDs, all solo harp, accompanied on some tracks by sounds of the ocean and the wind. No doubt about it, the music really is healing, made up of original compositions played in her unique style, tending to be slow, deliberate, richly toned and very melodic. Even though the melodies are her own compositions, they all seem familiar. She has clearly tapped into some universal healing energies that she is manifesting here for our benefit.

There is a line from an Arthur Lee song that her music clearly exemplifies: "with your heart in heaven and your feet upon the ground." The music is somehow both earthy and ethereal at the same time . . . perhaps this is how it heals. Just like a good massage, really moving muscles . . . but motivated by love, it relaxes, refreshes and soothes. This is delicious stuff. A natural for body workers and other healers, it also makes great dinner music, comforts a wakeful baby, is just right for lovemaking and any time you just want to relax and unwind."

Comments From Listeners
"Sammie's harp music is not instrumental music as you have ever heard before. Her music is magical! When she touches the strings of her harp each note reaches into your heart. You resonate with LOVE. Sammie plays for hospice patients in the Tacoma area. Her CDs are gentle and loving selections of music that remind us of the happiness and carefreeness of our youth. How gentle the harp is. How gently it strums the rhythm of our heart. Great peace pours into your very essence when these precious musical notes of Sammie's creations are released into your presence."

"A delightful musical Journey of Love. Sammie Thompson's angelic music has a special, universal quality in the way it reaches deep into our heart and soul, touches and uplifts us. She has an innocent spirit that resonates within us. You will find much to enjoy in the music and words of this very special CD."

"In a World That's Made of Love: "Love truly makes the world go around. Sammie Thompson's songs about the many faces of love remind us of the innocence of our childhood; with her, we triumph over the trials of romantic love with creativity and good humor, and glimpse the true love to come. Your heart will sing along with these wonderful songs." - MaryEllen, AngelScribe, author of Expect Miracles and A Christmas Filled With Miracles

"...thank you. We are enjoying your CD's sooooo much. Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift. God Bless. Eileen"

"I put your CDs on each morning, and as I listen, I feel like dancing. I start my day now, dancing to your music! Really uplifting! - Christi"

"THANK YOU. THANK YOU, Sammie ! Your music arrived yesterday afternoon...[I] played the tapes before going to bed, falling asleep to Journey to the Ocean. This morning ... put your CDs on and was so uplifted and delighted to hear you singing. You have a lovely voice, so full of love it soothes and uplifts and makes me smile. The vocal enhances the beautiful melodies. Your voice and the harp blend exquisitely. Will play the tapes for deep relaxation and as preparation for contemplation. Your CDs will be played over and over throughout the day. Words can't describe the comfort and love conveyed . Awoke this morning in pain and wondered how I would make it... [guests] were arriving before 10 and would be here until noon or after... your In a World That's Made of Love infused me with love and a knowingness that all is well and as it is meant to be. Am now listening to Journey of Love. Was and am going to take a nap, but postponed it to listen to the entire CD... [I] am only struggling to overcome some persistent viruses - nothing serious, only bothersome. Again thank you for sharing this beautiful music. It is changing my outlook and will help maintain the balance necessary and the recognition of the LOVE that is all around. Much love and gratitude, Trish"

"What an inspiration! I am so very happy for you.....and for the many people who have heard your songs (like me) or who will hear your songs in the near future. God has given you a gift...and your gift is touching so many lives. You are making a difference and I admire you so... Sincerely, E"
